The Kiddo made the National Finals in horseback riding! Last year she didn’t get an invite to this show and she was bummed. This year she even rode on her birthday (after she had said she really didn’t want to…at first). She has been working really hard to get a spot on her ranch team and we are over the moon excited for her. Last year her ranch only took 11 students to Nationals… out of almost a hundred kiddos!

We are also excited to be attending with her. This will be quite an experience that I, for one, am looking forward to having with my girl. All the hard work on all of our parts and all of the sacrifice is paying off. This is going to be something she will remember for the rest of her life. Hopefully this is the first of many trips we will be taking with her and I truly hope this will be a weekend to remember for her.

As a parent I know I have been totally amazed by this child on more than one occasion. I have a feeling there will be others…but somehow the first is always the best.

So last night Honey had to do inventory…they started around 6pm and they didn’t give him back to me until after 4am! I don’t sleep well alone anymore. Then he finally gets home and I have to be up 2 hours later. Not to mention he has to be at work 8 hours after he got home. That means like 5 hours sleep! That’s some bullshit! They should give those people either the day off after that shit, or let them come in and close the next day at least (not that I like when he closes either, but I can be slightly flexible…when I want to be). Fuckers!

I hate Mondays anyway…this just made me especially grumpy.

So I woke up this morning and when I walked past the Kiddo’s room…No Kiddo. Ok, ok sometimes she gets up before me (it was before 8am so I doubted it, but whatever…it could happen) so I called out to her and nothing. Silence! I got a stab in my stomach and called her a bit louder. My niece ran away a few weeks ago so I got a bit panicked (not that I think she would run away, but they didn’t think so either). I have a hurt leg so I couldn’t rocket down the steps (damn crutches)…I yelled to Honey and got down as fast as I possibly could. When I came into the living room there she was passed out in Honey’s chair (of course I couldn’t see that until I rounded the corner into the living room). I breathed a sigh of relief and put my heart back into my chest. Then I woke her and asked what she was doing there. But I have no been so afraid in my life. I gave her the biggest hug in the world.

I’m not sure why I got so scared, but it really rattled my cage and started my Monday off with a fright!

So our poor truck (Jo-Jo) was killed. Leaving us with the task of of replacing her. The hunt was on…and successful! We are the proud owners of a new (gently used) Truck. She is super pretty and has tons of fun new gadgets. Honey is over the moon about her! It is so cute the way he is like a little kid at xmas. I’m so happy we found a good vehicle and at a good price. Now we are faced with the decision, do we buy a 2nd? I say “No!” for the time being, but who knows what will happen. The future scares me to death, I can handle today and that about it! Even that some days is asking too much.

But this week, I’m on top of the world! Wanna know why…SHARK WEEK!!!! It ends tomorrow night, but I can spend the entire day watching sharks, sharks and more sharks. In my opinion, that sure doesn’t suck!

I miss the days of not knowing how long it takes to pay for something (in hours worked), or not knowing when the mortgage is due. Also having to decide on whether a big purchase is “Worth it” or not. Not to know what disappointment truly feels like. Kids are in such a hurry to grow up and be adults…I just want to be a kid again (not just mentally either)! We never knew how easy it was then.

What is the real benefit of being an adult? Bills, jobs, home, cars and kids some days it all gets a bit overwhelming. I can’t even go to an amusement park and ride the roller coasters till I puke (damn bad back). I feel very…bogged down at the moment. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Happy Friday!

Toni wanted to go shopping the other day…for a DVD. But whilst we were at the BuyMore, we acquired the Honey. After that we moved along into the computer area. He was telling us all the benefits of getting a Mac and which one he liked. They have a cage that held open items for sale…inside said cage was a Toshiba laptop and a MacBook Pro. We started looking at them (my puter has been acting up for months now) next thing I know Toni is talking with Honey bought purchasing them for us! OMG! I honestly didn’t think a new puter was on the table for one of us much less both! Needless to say “I was wrong!”. Here I sit on my new puter (Anthony) telling you all about it.

It is so much faster, and the picture is gorgeous! My game is amazing now! I love my new puter! Thanks Toni! Thanks Honey!

I started writing a story this morning…kinda hope I finish it. I am liking the direction it is going so far. It will be interesting to see if it is any good. I have never had any desire to write much, but I do enjoy a good book! Let you know how it turns out. LOL

It has been sooo long since my account got hacked. I have heard nothing! This sucks ass! You would think that since it is all digital, they would just have to click a few times and everything would be ok again. But it was a holiday weekend, and today they will be (more than likely) performing routine scheduled maintenance on the realms. So nothing will happen until around tomorrow. You would think, since this is a paid service and all, they would be quick about it. I miss playing the game!

Isuppose I could do a trial account, but why put all that effort in something that will go away in a week and a half?!? But if it takes too much longer for them to contact me, I’m gonna go nutty. I have been informed that train has sailed on that one. Or ship…..whatever!
