Thomas has picked up a very nasty habit lately…he likes to bite me when i pet him. not even petting him in unusual spots ( like his belly or sides). if i go to give him a hug, then he grabs my head and bites it…little shit! he can be very sweet when he wants attention…but tripping me in the hallway or on the stairs isnt how to get my attention. except getting a swift kick in the butt. if he werent so cute…POW! right in the kisser! Straight to the moon!

I just gave them both some kitty crack and they are in their own little worlds. rubbing the carpet with their paws, rolling in the loose catnip leaves, and general stonedness. Its cool i dont even have to bake it into the brownies!

chris is always telling me bout how he has reconnected with some person or another through facebook, and i keep telling him he is a facebook whore! he denies it, but i dont know why a person needs a website to keep friends. why can u say things on a website you cant say in person? I’m not saying that I hve oodles of friends and tons of social engagements…but I have a few really good friends that I see whenever I can we email, but I dont need myspace or facebook to keep in touch with them. some people I would rather not hear from…I don’t care what’s happened to them after all these years!!! but whatever makes him happy…He’s so incredibly cute when he smiles!

I saw this movie today, again and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. this was a really good job by Reese Witherspoon. She had an amazing body…still does! It amazes me to think how dumb she acted, but I have known a girl or two who acted like that in real life.

Ami and her friend have been hanging out here most of the afternoon…they giggle a whole lot! I’m glad they are having fun, and that they feel comfortable here around me. I never wanted my friends to be around my parents. The coincidence was my friends weren’t comfortable around my parents either! they can be pretty overbearing and obnoxious. My friends were not outgoing as much as I was. They were more quiet and reserved.

I feel as if i havent talked to Chris in days. it seems like everytime i am in a chatty mood. he feels tired and wants to be alone. I miss him! Work kinda sucks anymore and I’m really tired of being all by myself. I’m just so tired! maybe I could sleep all day tomorrow…after all that may be my last opportunity for awhile.

Ami starts school on Tuesday, and we are all ready. we have her supplies and backpack. all her uniforms are clean and ready to go. Her paperwork is all done and I have the stuff for her lunches and snacks taken care of. My little girl is in 5th grade! next year will be middle school! she doesnt need me anymore *tears*

1st there was shark week…nothing but seven days of shows regarding sharks and all the stuff that goes with them. it is so very cool. my family hates that i watch it and they moan and groan when shark week comes up in conversation. it makes me laugh and it’s fun.

then this year we have the whole summer olympics thing.I’m a big fan of the summer games…not so much the winter ones, but i may watch an event or two if nothing else is on. i think it was kinda cool we had the summer then the winter games here in america in a short amount of time.

it always seems like we get a big shot of patriotism around olympic time. when i was little my dad was from an immigrant family and he was in the military, so he had patriotism drilled into his head from the time he could remember. I dont remember much about him, but some of the things he said bout when he was growing up he was from a very patriotic family. Seems to me that you have to be here from another country to have any sort of love for this country. it seems ironic born here and you could care less, but be from somewhere else and know what it feels like to not have the things we do and things are suddenly different.

then when the olympics are over i will have my chiefs football. then i get to hear the groans for the next three months. good times! *wink wink*

i have thoroughly enjoyed watching the olympics this year. i dont watch them nonstop, but i do watch them daily!!! i have been very faithfully watching michael phelps and his road to olympic history. i also enjoy the basketball(once every four years is about all i can take of that sport), diving, gymnastics, soccer, track (a little bit), tae kwon do, wrestling, equestrian, &volleyball. i was only watching events when chris wasnt home, but then he told me he wanted me to watch them whenever my favorites were on. Then the other night, he was already tired of me watching them.

but he expresses his exasperation in very subtle ways…like whining “..Aren’t the Olympics over yet?!?”. he makes me laugh!

Ami is extremely jealous bout zena giving anyone attention except her. she has to push her way in and pout till the cat gives her attention as well. it is annoying!

I do beleive my sweetheart would rather peruse facebook tonight than talk to me! not that that is an unusual occurance…unless he’s horny! i swear he even has facebook updates sent to his email! i cant seem to understand ones desire to “collect people” as if the are pogs or something! i cant believe i can remeber those damn things. they were equally as annoying also!!! people have just too much emo in them! “Like me,Like me!” see how many “friends” i have…but they arent real friends…no, no they are facebook friends! please, people waste so much time “talking” to others via myspace, facebook, and other such sites. I think it is a playground for emo shut-ins who know actual people cannot stand to be around them. but whatever!

Oh, and facebook is better than myspace…but dont ask me how, i really dont care!

i have heard that some mental health groups are trying to get persons to boycott this film due to its depiction and use of the word retarded. but i think all they are doing is making people want to see what in the movie would cause persons offense. if not for all the press they are creating, i would have never thought twice bout the movie and would not have gone out to see it. if you have seen the naked gun movies…you pretty much get the idea and the schtick involved here. but now i want to go out and see it.

i have an aunt whom is retarded and i am not offended by that word. retard just means slowed. they have a slower thought process and are not able to mature past a certain age mentally, all the while physically being judged by their apparent age. doesnt make them stupid or funny, but why fear the word? that is all it is. when i was little and someone would tease me i would always be told by my parents,family and sitters…”Sticks and Stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me!” but nowadays everyone is overly emo and they have a Farenheit 451 attitude about free speech.

In the end, they have not gotten my support and i think the film studio can thank them for the extra few million they have given them in free publicity and increased awareness of the film. after Indiana Jones and The Dark Knight…summer releases were pretty much done. but now with this film it is gonna do pretty good as well. people are so stupid! if someone wants a boycott, it just makes me want to go against them…especially when it is a retarded argument! *hee hee*

I have visited colorado springs twice and both times i was awestruck by how beautiful and peaceful it is there. i recently found out some very cool information about this hotel in colorado springs and i want to take chris and ami there. it is called the broadmoor and what i saw was about their sunday brunch. it looks absolutely amazing and the setting at the foot of the rockies looks breathtaking. I think it would be fun to go and do that for christmas.

plus, in the same show i saw this segment about this place in boston that does a chocolate bar from 12-3pm on certain days during the week…they have like 80-100 different items all featuring chocolate!!! chocolate soup anyone?!? they use dark, milk and white chocolate…all different concentrations from 30-100% chocolate. they even have themes for their menus. this year the theme is elements…fire, water, wind and earth. let me tell you that is such a great idea. One day i would like to open my own restaurant, and if i ever get the chance to do that, i would like to do the chocolate bar idea. or when I marry chris maybe instead of a dinner, just do a huge collection of chocolate desserts. chocolate is a vegetable ya know *grins*!!!

a word of advice…DON’T miss this exciting offer! we were sitting watching the new transformers cartoon (yawns), and we saw this commercial…it was so bad it had to be shared. what kind of crack are these pepole smokin’? and if they expect me to spend my hard earned money buyin this shit they need to pass the party over here…cause i dont get the appeal of watching an adult ride a kiddie trian through the park with kids behind him (he wants them to ride him after they get off the little train. sicko) how many times can you watch a screen shot of a fucking train before it becomes redundant? Why does the person driving the train always look like he’s getting a blowjob under that little window? He is always hanging out of the window with a shit eating grin waving like a moron. i know what causes me to smile like that…it aint no fuckin train! what loser would consider that entertainment? Maybe if the trains crashed into one another or took a header off a nice big bridge…that might be worth watching. they could call it Lots &Lots of Carneage! throw in some dismembered people and stray body parts lying around and you got a blockbuster.

the wayward traveler has returned! I have my Ami back!!! I missed her so much. She didnt talk to me very much, and im not used to that. Christopher made the comment that she never calls him so he is used to that. but the whole point was that i never go that long without her. she had so much fun, but i am only getting details in bits and pieces and it is driving me nuts!

work has been crazy busy and at times it is maddeningly ridiculous! somethings i just dont get (still)! but it isnt all bad.

chris had some minor surgery a few days ago and i have been caring for him. it’s kinda weird…now we both have bad backs. but his is temporary…lucky bastard! he goes in for his follow up in a few more days…hopefully he will get the all clear.
