Don’t mess with the Kiddo!

So Kiddo had her horse show today. We were told the show started at nine, but that she wouldn’t ride until (probably) after 10am. So we left the house @ 9:15. We called the ex to get directions to Longview Ranch and he said there were only 6 groups ahead of hers!!! OMG! That’s not good. So he put her on the phone with me and I explained we were coming but we may be a little late. She began crying (which is a major thing since she had her makeup done already!) and I began crying…it was awful! We couldn’t miss her ride…no matter what! So Honey (being the awesome Honey that he is) drove like a crazy man and got me there right as she was being led into the last check before we put you into the arena area. I got to see how wonderful she looked and then I proceeded to watch her take 1st ( I couldn’t have missed that!). She was amazing…I didn’t get to see her number beforehand so when they called out 925, then the horse’s formal name (her everyday name was Stephanie, but her show name is Restless Heart), then the Kiddo’s name was called. I screamed, whooped and hollered louder than anyone. All of the riders and trainers looked at me, but I didn’t give a fuck! My kid just took 1st place and I didn’t miss it! Her second event was immediately following her grand win. She took a mini victory lap and then was led out of the arena. they exited did a circle and led her back into the arena. Kinda pointless if you ask me, but whatev. This time it was to judge not only her ability to ride, but also the horse’s abilty to be ridden.

There was this one trainer who was standing near us and she kept talking to her rider constantly! The idiot girl couldn’t seem to keep the horse from galloping. This was a walk/trot class. She kept telling her to “pull back and say WHOA, loudly.” the girl would attempt and look frustrated then the trainer would repeat. She was also fond of saying “Shorten your reins.” But over all the girl just had poor control of her horse.

When the judges have watched each horse/rider pair do their thing, they call the class to line up in the center of the ring. They look at the posture of the horse and rider, and then they announce the winners. Kiddo had the same 7 other girls (and herself) in each class. I really thought they wouldn’t give it to the same kid 2x(1st place)…that wouldn’t be fair!

Screw fair! They called out “…And 1st place goes to #925 ( this time I knew what that meant and here started the mommie screaming and hollering for her Kiddo) restless Heart and Kiddo.” By this time I was in tears and cheering. I was in shock. She took 2 1st place finishes…and I didn’t miss a second of it! What an amazing day.

We get to do this all over again next month for her birthday weekend! She wants to go to nationals, so she has to do 2 shows before she will qualify. I am so excited to see if she will get an invite to that show. It really blows that I wouldnt have her for Halloween, but if it is something that is important to her, than it will all be worth it!

Congrats Kiddo, I love you a bunch!!!

Wipeout!

I have to say, I love this show!!! I look forward every summer to watching the new obstacles and of course…the Big Balls!!! I am never surprised by the idiots this show makes out of people. But the squeals (from women and men alike) when they go flying off the different obstacles. It makes ME squeal with delight as they hurl themselves every which way humanly possible trying to complete these ridiculous tasks. Some of the losers that end up trying to do this is awesome!

I love my Honey so very much…I have been in alot of pain lately and he has been incredible. Even though he has been in a not great place himself. He is a wonderful Honey to me and I don’t know what I would do without him. You are my love! Hope you get to feeling better real soon as well! I have always loved you and I always will. *Hoofs*

Kiddo had her tonsils and adenoids out last week and she is doing super well. I am amazed out how fast she was bouncing back. She is a superkid. She will compete in a horse show this weekend and *crosses fingers* she will kick ass! She has a 1st place win to defend! But we will e super proud of no matter what.

Tonsils and Androids

So the Kiddo had her tonsils out today…she is doing great! But when we 1st visited the E.N.T. (ear, nose and throat) doc, Kiddo piped up when the doc asked her if she understood what was happening and said “They’re going to remove my tonsils and Androids!”. After picking ourselves up off the floor from laughing, we told her they were actually Adenoids. But it is one of the funniest things I think I have heard from her in a long time. I was really glad she has (so far) come out of this practically unscathed (and minus her tonsils and androids). She was in the recovery room and was breathing through her nose for me (she couldn’t before…thus one of the reasons for the operation.) it was really cute! Plus she is drugged up, so its kinda funny!

I’m super excited…

Tommorrow is Honey Day. I get Honey all day. I have been missing him so very much. We have both been so stressed and in our own world lately. We have been a bit disconnected from each other. I am spending my day with him and the Kiddo. It is long overdue!

I’m really very excited about my upcoming birthday. Don’t know why, it isn’t any milestone, but I am feeling happy nonetheless. I don’t even need a big fuss made…but I just want to be with people I love and I don’t want to have to do ANYTHING! Let the countdown begin…5 days and counting!

Burn notice is once again back for a 7 episode season, that makes me sooooo happy! I love that show!

“Hi my name is Vanessa, and I’m a farmer!”

So once again I was reminded how much I am addicted to Farmville….

My day revolves around my crops. I think about where I will be when each crop is ready…and when my puppies will need food (we don’t want them to run away, or not learn their new trick). If I send one of my neighbors a gift, they had better return the favor…OR ELSE!!! I want every new item they bring out (even if it costs real money…but I don’t get them ALL *Sad Orc*!), and my poor farm is so crowded…I mean, ecclectic… it isn’t even funny. When I need storage options…I must conduct a barn raisin’. Which means I need 10 people (neighbors) need to click on my post then I get 5 storage spaces (wonky math if u ask me, but I don’t work for Zynga). If they ignore my plea for help (they are cut off, Just Kidding!), I can pay (real money) 5-10 FV’s to complete it! It’s a racket…but I’M ADDICTED! Farmville is my crack!!!

Punkynn is going nuts today…and so is the Kiddo! I do have a headache after all…how do you nicely say “Leave me the fuck alone today!”?

Dear Wifey

I love you!!

Husband
