Runover…in Best Buy?!?

So I am in a cast…again! This time I may be in it for awhile. We went into a new Best Buy and Honey had yet to be able to geek out the way he wanted to. So we are walking around and we get plowed over by this guy…more interested in his Iphone than watching where he is going. I fall over and the Honey starts to get very angry. I tell him I ok and he calms. But only slightly! So I go and sit down to rest while he and the Kiddo do their thing…He gets done and tells me we are leaving. As we walk out the door this chick from LP runs me over again! Twice…I got mowed over 2x by 2 different peoples. WTF?!? I guess it makes sense to them I was invisible…it took like 20 minutes in the damn store before anyone even said “Hi!” to me. There were blue shirt conventions (groups of employees standing around chatting) going on in the store. Walked by at least 3 of them without so much as a head nod of recognition. If I had gone into that store looking to buy something, I would’ve left and gone across the street to Nebraska Furniture Mart and probably got equally shitty service, but paying that much less for it…I wouldn’t have been too upset by that! Long live the Buy More!!!

Tired of this shit…and the Doggie pee’d!

I’m so sick and tired of hearing everyone else’s opinion of me and how I raise my child. I’M HER GODDAMN MOTHER!!! No one else is here to input their opinion. I have done a damn good job with the Kiddo and I don’t think that the parties in question could have done better. After all they are only around when it benefits them in some way. I have been present and here for everything. It wouldn’t be the worst thing for the Kiddo to turn out like me (I hope she will be much better version, but the framework’s there).

Puppy wanted to go outside and before I could even get up and open the door…she’d peed! She hasn’t had an accident in the house in years. I’m terribly afraid her “time” may be coming quite sooner than I had hoped. Maybe it was just that…an accident…I hope that to be true.

Tennessee…here we come!!!

The Kiddo made the National Finals in horseback riding! Last year she didn’t get an invite to this show and she was bummed. This year she even rode on her birthday (after she had said she really didn’t want to…at first). She has been working really hard to get a spot on her ranch team and we are over the moon excited for her. Last year her ranch only took 11 students to Nationals… out of almost a hundred kiddos!

We are also excited to be attending with her. This will be quite an experience that I, for one, am looking forward to having with my girl. All the hard work on all of our parts and all of the sacrifice is paying off. This is going to be something she will remember for the rest of her life. Hopefully this is the first of many trips we will be taking with her and I truly hope this will be a weekend to remember for her.

As a parent I know I have been totally amazed by this child on more than one occasion. I have a feeling there will be others…but somehow the first is always the best.

Good Luck Kiddo and we are all rooting for you!!!
