It is Ami’s birthday today…I can’t beleive that she is ten years old!!! an entire decade has gone by since she came into the world. she was born at 3:15 in the morning, and every year at that time i go in and wake her up because that is when i first held her and it is a special time for just the two of us that we both enjoy. Last year she was with her father and i didnt get to spend that time with her and so she requested that i do that with her again. she had a friend over and i couldnt get to her without going over her friend sleeping in the bed in front of Ami. i tried to wake her and tell her happy birthday, but she just nodded and went right back to sleep. but I was up and thinking of her. I held her for the first time then. i was glad she asked me to do it again, but i’m sad she was too tired to actually wake up for it.

We are going to the water park today and gonna have a family dinner with toni and ami’s friends with cake and all kinds of good stuff for her birthday. she is getting WAY too many presents, but all of them are necessary (says toni at least). i even had a bunch of fun wrapping them all cutsey and pretty. she is such a girly girl…I don’t know how that happened! when she was born, I told everyone no pink…that lasted all of two seconds. when she was first born they still had girl and boy specific diapers…pink fuckin diapers! i was very glad when they stopped selling those! I want her to wake up so we can have fun! i guess i’ll just have to wait for her to get up on her own!
